This application has been preferred praying inter alia for the following relief/s:

" a) To issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari for quashing resolution contained in memo no. 3663 dated 02.05.2017 published in the official gazette of Bihar on 03.05.2017.

b) To issue further appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the Respondents to provide bodyguards in accordance with the guidelines contained memo no. 16434 dated 30.12.1999.

Patna High Court CWJC No.4241 of 2020(2) dt.25-02-2020 2/2 c) This Hon'ble Court may adjudicate and hold that it is the duty of the Respondent Authorities to protect and preserve the well-being of its citizen. d) This Hon'ble Court may adjudicate and hold that there is no intelligible basis upon which an ex-elected member is eligible to be provided security free of cost but other persons retired from administrative and judicial posts have been excluded? e) This Hon'ble Court may further adjudicate and hold that the state cannot say that it will provide security to private persons only upon payment. f) To award any other relief or reliefs for which the Petitioners are found entitled in the fact and circumstance of the case."

Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the petition, reserving liberty to file a fresh petition on the same and subsequent cause of action.

Prayer allowed.

The application is dismissed as withdrawn with the liberty aforesaid.
