1. The public interest litigation was filed seeking completion of Hajipur-Sugauli rail line project which has been pending for the last 16 years, according to the petitioner. Even on the last occasion the learned Government Advocate on instructions submitted that now the District Administration, East Champaran has received the money for the acquisition proceeding from the railways and the acquisition will be completed by the end of this year.

2. In such circumstances, we are of the opinion that the public interest litigation has served its purpose and it stands disposed of.
