The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Mahila (Women) Sadar P.S. Case No. 69 of 2019 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 504, 406, 420 and 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Allegation against the petitioner is that he tortured the victim due to non-fulfillment of dowry.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is father-in-law of the victim and there is no specific allegation against the petitioner.

No.9315 of 2020(2) dt.29-02-2020 2/2 In the facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within six weeks from the date of communication of this order, the court below shall release them on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran at Motihari in connection with Mahila (Women) Sadar P.S.
