The petitioner is apprehending arrest in connection with Ekma P.S. Case No. 110 of 2019 for offences under Sections 272,273 IPC and 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent. The recovery was made from the National Highway. Nothing was recovered from the possession of the petitioner. The petitioner is neither owner of the truck nor the owner of the recovered liquor. Similarly circumstanced co-accused persons have been granted anticipatory bail by this Court.

Considering the aforesaid let the petitioner, above

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.9274 of 2020(3) dt.15-06-2020 2/2 named, in the event of arrest or surrender within four weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 25,000/- (Fifty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Additional District and Sessions Judge-XI-cum-Special Judge, Excise, Saran in connection with Ekma P.S. Case No. 110 of 2019, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) Cr. P. C., and further subject to the condition that on release the petitioner shall render his services as volunteer to combat the pandemic of Covid-19 for a period of one month. He is required to report to the Civil Surgeon/ Nodal Officer, Covid-19, Saran who shall utilize his services appropriately.
