Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in spite of recommendation made by the Deputy Inspector General (for brevity, DIG) of Police, Champaran Range, Bettiah pursuant to the meeting of the Screening Committee for grant of benefit under the Assured Career Progression/Modified Assured Career Progression to the petitioner by Memo No 824 dated 18.10.2011, he has still not been given the benefits in respect of the same.
In view of the limited submission made by the learned
Patna High Court CWJC No.1704 of 2016(2) dt.17-01-2019 2/2 counsel for the petitioner, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the proceeding pending as benefits pursuant to the said recommendation dated 18.10.2011, have to be granted by respondent No 3, Inspector General of Police (Headquarters), Bihar, Patna.
Writ petition is disposed of.
Respondent No 3 shall ensure that if there is no other legal impediment standing in the way of grant of benefits pursuant to recommendation dated 18.10.2011, the same be given to the petitioner and consequential modification/enhancement may also be done in respect of his pensionary benefits within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
