The petitioner is said to have passed the Matriculation Examination, held by the Bihar School Examination Board in 1990. In the original Matriculation Certificate, her date of birth has been recorded as 01.03.1976. It is the petitioner's claim that her correct date of birth is 30.10.1976. This is the background, in which the present writ application has been filed, seeking direction to the Board to correct the petitioner's date of birth. This writ application has been filed 28 years after the

Patna High Court CWJC No.19254 of 2018(2) dt.27-09-2018 2/2 petitioner passed the Matriculation Examination. In such circumstance, this Court cannot issue a direction to the Board to correct the petitioner's date of birth.

It will, however, be open to the petitioner to approach the Bihar School Examination Board by making a representation. It will be up to the Bihar School Examination Board to take appropriate decision in the matter. This disposes of the writ application.
