In this case, the petitioner is seeking the payment of Rs.26,72,459.95 (Rs. Twenty six lakh seventy two thousand four hundred fifty nine and ninety five paise).
As per the case of the petitioner, he is a Miller in name and style mentioned in the cause title, was supplied the paddy for milling, handling and transporting and after the successful milling and
Patna High Court CWJC No.14333 of 2016 dt.23-01-2017 2/2 transporting, he has placed his bill for payment, which has been verified and approved by the District Manager, B.S.F.C., Bettiah for payment, but till date he has not received any amount out of the aforesaid bill. He further submits that others, who are similarly situated, have been paid, but the present petitioner has not been paid any amount.
This Court directs the Managing Director, Bihar State Food & Civil Supplies Corporation, Patna to examine the case of the petitioner and release the admitted amount of the petitioner taking into consideration that bill has been verified and approved by the District Manager, B.S.F.C., Bettiah, West Champaran and pay the same without unnecessary delay preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. The petitioner will have liberty to claim the interest over the principal amount.
With the above observation/direction, this petition is disposed of.
