1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents.

The petitioner has filed the instant application for the following reliefs :- "(i) For issuance of a direction, order or writ including writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ/writs, order/orders or direction/directions commanding the respondent authorities may select the petitioner on the post of Anganwadi Sevika under Ward No.7 Gram Panchayat Raj Lohargawa BlockKeshariya, District-East Champaran Motihari.

The case of the petitioner in brief is that having applied on 29.6.2020 for selection on the post of Anganwadi Sevika under Ward no.7 in Gram Panchayat Raj Lohargawa, block- Keshariya in the district of East Champaran, the respondents proceeded with the selection, however the same has still not been completed and no Anganwadi Sevika appointed inspite of more than 5 years period having passed.

On perusal of the contents of the counter affidavit it transpires that the respondents had come out with an advertisement for filling up the vacancies on the post of Anganwadi Sevika/Sahayika in the year 2020, however in view of the Aam Sabha having been cancelled on more than one occasion for different reasons, as stated in the counter affidavit, the process of selection has still not been completed.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the District Programme Officer, East Champaran, Motihari by his letter dated 25.4.2022 has written to the Director, Integrated Child Development Services, Bihar seeking guidelines to enable him to complete the process of selection of the Anganwadi Sevika/Sahayika started in the year 2020.

6. The respondents especially respondent nos.3, 5 and 6 are directed to take necessary steps in the matter and take the process of selection of Anganwadi Sevika/Sahayika for Ward no.7, Gram Panchayat Raj Lohargawa, block- Keshariya in the district of East Champaran, Motihari to its logical conclusion within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
7. The writ application stands disposed of.
