The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offences punishable under Sections 30(a)/56(b) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Petitioner is in custody since 30.12.2018 having no criminal antecedent. He was driver of the vehicle from which huge quantity of foreign liquor was recovered. Submission is that marriage of the sister of the petitioner is going to be solemnized on 22.04.2019. Considering the nature of allegation and completion of investigation, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Twenty Thousand)

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.12557 of 2019(4) dt.18-04-2019 2/2 with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Court-below where the case is pending in connection with Excise Case No.476 of 2018, with condition that petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation/trial of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
