TD/10/2022/728 dated 20.10.2022 issued under the signature of Junior Electrical Engineer, Electricity Supply Section, Kasba under the North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd., whereby on wrong assumption of facts and laws, the petitioner is directed to pay Rs. 1,12,664/-. (ii) For directing the respondents to restore the electricity connection of the petitioner bearing consumer no. 131105458166. (iii) For commanding the respondents to examine and scrutinize the dues of the petitioner bearing consumer no. 131105458166.

(iv) For holding that the electricity

Patna High Court CWJC No.3424 of 2023(2) dt.20-04-2023 2/2 connection to the premises of the petitioner cannot be disconnected on the ground that there is dues in the name of his father in the part of the same land.

(v) For holding that the electricity being the basic need for leading a normal life, even if there is due against a person, the connection of electricity cannot be cut of his son, who is occupant of part of same land.

(vi) For any other relief or reliefs for which the petitioner may be deemed entitled to."

2. Since, an alternative remedy is available to the petitioner to approach the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum, formed under Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, which is functioning in the State of Bihar, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the said forum for redressal of his grievance. If such an application is moved, the concerned forum shall decide the same expeditiously within a period of thirty days of its filing.

3. Granting such liberty to the petitioner, the present application is dismissed.
