The District Magistrate-cum-Chairman, District Compassionate Appointment Committee, Saharsa, vide Annexure-4, had made recommendations in favour of the candidates, who have qualified the eligibility under the compassionate head. Name of the petitioner is contained at Srl. No. 12. Petitioner is to be appointed under compassionate category under the Superintending Engineer, PHED Circle, Saharsa. More than a year has gone past, but the appointment letter is still proving to be

Patna High Court CWJC No.2320 of 2015 dt.06-02-2015 2/2 illusive to the petitioner. Obviously, the reason for such delay creates unnecessary litigations and compels citizens to approach the High Court.

The writ application is allowed with a direction upon the Superintending Engineer, PHED Circle, Saharsa that the appointment of the petitioner must go through, if there is no legal impediment created after the recommendation, contained in Annexure-4 within a period of eight weeks from the date of production / communication of a copy of this Order.
