2. The petitioner has prayed for regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under section 392 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. The case of the prosecution, in short, is that the informant arrived at Patna Railway Station from Delhi and was waiting for a train to Begusarai, one person approached him, took him out of the station, and boarded him into a car. In that car, his ATM card, mobile, PAN card, Aadhaar card, and other articles were snatched. Four other persons were already present and assaulted the informant. After he was alighted from the car and returned home, he came to know that a total of Rs.
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.13671 of 2026(2) dt.12-03-2026 2/3 3,71,000/- had been withdrawn from his Karnataka Bank account and Rs. 1,50,000/- from his Union Bank account.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in connection with the present case. It is further submitted that from a perusal of the F.I.R., it is clear that the date of occurrence is 14.06.2024, whereas the F.I.R. was lodged on 26.06.2024, showing a delay of 12 days, which has not been explained. It is further submitted that the petitioner's name has surfaced in this case solely because he was identified in the CCTV footage. It is further submitted that nothing has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner, no amount has been withdrawn from his account, and he is not a beneficiary in any way. The petitioner has criminal antecedents of one case and has been in custody since 18.12.2025.
5. Learned APP appearing for the state has opposed the prayer of regular bail.
6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail in connection with Kotwali P.S. Case No. 390 of 2024 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two
