JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 19-06-2017 The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Naya Ram Nagar P.S. Case No. 163 of 2016, registered for offences punishable under Section 20/22 of the N.D.P.S. Act. Allegation against the petitioner is of recovery of 1.7 kilograms of Ganja.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he has falsely been implicated in this case and has not been arrested on the spot. Further petitioner has no criminal antecedent and has been in judicial custody since 30.03.2017 Heard learned A.P.P. also.

Having heard both sides, in view of the fact that huge quantity of Ganja has been recovered from the house of the petitioner, as such, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.20012 of 2017 (3) dt.19-06-2017 2/2 bail. His application for grant of regular bail is, accordingly, rejected.

However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it within a period of seven months and if the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail in the court below itself.
