The petitioner has questioned the selection of

Patna High Court CWJC No.6614 of 2021(2) dt.28-01-2022 2/2 respondent No. 9 for grant of licence to run a fair price shop under Bihar Targeted Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2016.

It is the petitioner's case that he has better merit than respondent No. 9 for the said purpose and his claim has been ignored in preparing the merit-list. The fair price shop in question is located in Dighwa Dubauli North Gram Panchayat in the district of Gopalganj.

The Control Order, 2016 provides grievance redressal mechanism against selection/ non-selection for the purpose of grant of licence which the petitioner did not avail. Considering the facts and circumstances, this application is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to approach the competent/ statutory authority by making an application/ representation. If the same is done within four weeks from today, the Court expects the competent statutory authority to consider the petitioner's representation with utmost expedition and decide the same in accordance with law.
