JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 13-05-2022 Heard Mr. Prashant Kumar, the learned Advocate for the petitioners and the learned APP for the State. The petitioners seek bail in anticipation of their arrest in connection with Shikarpur P.S. Case No. 29 of 2020, dated 20.01.2020, instituted for the offences under Sections 147, 341, 323, 307, 325, 379 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code.

So far as petitioner No. 2 is concerned, he is said to have assaulted the informant on his leg by means of an iron rod. The injuries suffered by the victim have been reported to be simple in nature.

It appears that for an occurrence dated 18.01.2020, the case was lodged on 20.01.2020. The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that now with the intervention of the well-wishers of the family, the informant has decided not to prosecute the petitioners in this case any further.

A compromise petition also has been filed before the learned Court below, which has yet not been acted upon. Considering the afore-noted circumstances in the case, the petitioners, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks, are directed to be released on bail on their furnishing bail-bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah,
