The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Atri P.S. Case No.178 of 2016 registered under Section 395 of I.P.C. The accusation is of dacoity of the truck of the informant by unknown.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's name has surfaced on the basis of confessional statement of co-accused Md. Sahid whose vehicle is said to be involved in the dacoity of the truck. Further submission is that the petitioner is accused in two cases, as detailed in paragraph 3 of the petition and he is on bail in both the cases and he is in custody since 4.11.2016.
