The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Sikti P. S. Case No. 170 of 2016 dated 05.11.2016 instituted for the offences under Sections 406, 409, 420, 467, 468 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the F.I.R. has been registered against two other functionaries of the Panchayat and the name of the petitioner has only transpired during the course of investigation. The petitioner, at the relevant time, was Mukhiya of Gram Panchayat Raj, Bhirbhiri and his implication in the present case is only the basis of suspicion.

No.10497 of 2019(2) dt.22-02-2019 2/2 Considering the afore-stated facts as also taking into account the clean antecedents of the petitioner, the petitioner, above-named, is directed to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Araria in connection with Sikti P. S. Case No. 170 of 2016, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
