2. The petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered under Sections 498-A, 304-B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, the marriage of the daughter of informant was solemnized with co-accused Sudhir. After marriage, the daughter (deceased) of the informant was subjected to physical and mental torture by her in-laws. It is alleged that on 29.05.2024, the informant received an information about the illness of her daughter, accordingly, the informant and his wife visited the hospital where they were

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.12168 of 2025(2) dt.15-04-2025 2/3 informed that their daughter had already died. It is thus alleged that the informant's daughter died not because of illness, but she was killed by her in-laws.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in the present case due to suspicion. Further submission is that petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law of the deceased respectively. Petitioners are residing separately and they have no concern with the family affairs of the deceased and her husband. From perusal of the medical report, it appears that the victim has committed suicide. It is next submitted that similarly situated co-accused persons namely, Pradeep Chaudhary @ Pradeep Kumar and Pushpa Devi @ Pushpa Kumari have already been granted anticipatory bail by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 074.03.2025 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 8211 of 2025. Petitioners have got clean antecedent and they undertake to cooperate in the investigation and trial.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, in the event of arrest or surrender before the Court below within

No.12168 of 2025(2) dt.15-04-2025 3/3 six weeks from today, the petitioners be released on bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount to each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gaya in connection with Chandauti P.S. Case No. 198 of 2024, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
