It appears that case diary was called for but the same has not been received.
The petitioner seeks bail in Chousa P.S. Case No.236 of 2016 registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 386, 387, 354, 504, 506 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 27 of the Arms Act.
The informant named ten persons including the petitioner and alleged that all the accused persons having armed with different weapons came and demanded extortion of Rs.1 lakh. Santlal Singh pointed rifle at the temple of the informant. It is further alleged that accused persons assaulted the informant and other family members. Sunil Singh(the petitioner) snatched Rs.5,000/- from the pocket of the father of the informant.

No.9614 of 2020(4) dt.01-07-2020 2/2 The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has of course got criminal antecedent but similarly situated co-accused namely, Sanjay Singh and Bajrangi Singh have been granted bail by order passed in Cr. Misc. No.38690 of 2017 and Cr. Misc. No.45850 of 2017. Both the co-accused also got criminal antecedent. Petitioner is in jail since 08.11.2019. Petitioner has already remained in jail for about eight months. Considering the fact that similarly situated two other co-accused persons have already been granted bail and petitioner is in jail for about last eight months, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned S.D.J.M., Uda Kishunganj, District-Madhepura in connection with Chousa P.S. Case No.236 of 2016.
