2. The petitioner superannuated on 31.08.2023 from the post of Block Agriculture Officer. On being aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not according the benefits and other dues, the petitioner preferred the present writ petition.
3. Learned Advocate for the petitioner fairly contended that during the pendency of the writ petition all the substantive
Patna High Court CWJC No.4202 of 2024 dt.06-02-2025 2/2 grievance of the petitioner has been redressed, except the payment of commuted leave and interest over the GPF amount.
4. Learned Advocate for the State reiterating the afore noted facts, submitted that all the admissible amount has been paid to the petitioner.
5. Considering the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties and taking note of the fact that all the substantive amount has been paid, except a few, as has been contended by the petitioner, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the writ petition with a direction to the respondent no. 3 to consider the claim of the petitioner for commuted leave and also to verify whether the petitioner has been accorded the interest over the GPF amount. In case the claim of the petitioner finds favour, necessary direction for payment must be accorded, preferably within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. It is made clear that any delay in settlement of admissible dues would attract the penal interest.
6. The writ petition stands disposed.
