The matter has been listed under the heading 'For Orders' under the orders of Hon'ble the Chief Justice. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State.

The petitioner seeks bail in Bakhri P.S. Case No. 327 of 2017 instituted for the offences under Sections 304(B), 34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

The earlier bail application of the petitioner was rejected vide Annexure-1 to the present application taking into account that the petitioner is husband of the deceased and the onus is upon him to explain the cause of death of the deceased.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.9348 of 2020(3) dt.10-06-2020 2/2 A report was called for from the Court below. It has been reported that the prosecution witnesses have already been examined and the case is at the stage of defence evidence. Considering the nature of accusation and the stage of the case, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The same is rejected. The Trial Court is directed to conclude the trial at the earliest preferably within nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. It is expected that the defence shall co-operate during the trial.
