JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 16-08-2022 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 498A, 307/34, 302 and other sections of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

It is a case of dowry death.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner happens to be the husband of the deceased. He denies the allegation and submits that the informant's daughter accidentally sustained fire injuries while cooking food and died during treatment.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there is specific allegation against the petitioner that he along with other family members subjected the victim to cruelty and finally they killed her in a planned

Considering the rival submissions of the parties and the fact that the petitioner is the husband of the deceased who died in suspicious condition at her matrimonial home, his prayer for bail is refused.
