The petitioner in this writ petition seeks direction to the respondent Land Acquisition Authority to make payment of compensation to the petitioner in lieu of his lands acquired for construction of embankment of Gandak river.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the land of the petitioner has been acquired in the year 2012, but till date no amount of compensation is paid to the petitioner. The petitioner filed representation on 26.06.2013 before the Land Acquisition Authority. The petitioner again filed another

Patna High Court CWJC No.3211 of 2020(2) dt.14-02-2020 2/2 representation on 02.01.2016 before the Land Acquisition Authority but till date no order has been passed. Having considered the submissions, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the Land Acquisition Authority to dispose of the representation of the petitioner within two months from the date of receipt of this order and if the land of the petitioner is acquired for construction of embankment of Gandak river, appropriate compensation shall be paid to the petitioner. If land of the petitioner is not acquired, the Land Acquisition Authority shall pass order in accordance with law. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
