The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Deepnagar P.S. Case No. 159 of 2018, registered under Section 302 and 201/34 of Indian Penal Code, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nalanda.

In compliance of order dated 12.08.2021, a report has been received contained in letter No. 196 of 2021 from the Court of Additional Sessions Judge-III, Nalnda at Biharsharif. It has been stated in the report that trial is to be completed within a period of one year.

Considering the stage of the trial, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail, at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

If the petitioner, so advised, may renew his prayer for bail after nine months, if no substantial progress takes place in the trial.
