The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Bathnaha P.S. Case No. 217 of 2018 for the offence punishable under Sections 420/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner, who is of clean antecedent, is innocent and has not committed any offence. In fact, the co-accused having more of less similar allegation has already been granted anticipatory bail by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court in Cr. Misc. No. 66967 of 2018 and the case of this petitioner stands on similar footing. Hence, the petitioner may be granted the privilege of anticipatory bail.
