The petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs: (i) for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for a direction to the respondent authorities to grant fair compensation with pendentelite interest of the land under Right for Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 of the petitioner bearing

Patna High Court CWJC No.2917 of 2024(2) dt.19-06-2024 2/3 Mauza-Ranipur, Thana No. 19, Khata No. 462, Khesra No. 4626, Area-5,5096 decimals which was acquired by the respondent authorities for construction of Metro Depot and till date no compensation has been granted to the petitioner;

(ii) for any other relief/reliefs if the petitioner found entitled in the facts and circumstances of the present case.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that all the documents have been submitted still no decision taken, compensation paid.

4. Learned State counsel submits still some documents are needed in the matter and once received, the case will automatically be taken to its logical conclusion.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he will be doing the needful and submit the document within four weeks.

6. The respondent no.4, the District Land

Patna High Court CWJC No.2917 of 2024(2) dt.19-06-2024 3/3 Acquisition Officer, Patna must see to it that if the land of the person is being taken, the proceeding be taken to its logical conclusion and compensation paid to the genuine person in time.

7. In this case, the petitioner is 68 years old and it is expected that these things be also taken into account.

8. As recorded, the petitioner will be filing the required document in four weeks and the respondent no.4 is required to take the matter to its logical conclusion in next four months.

9. The compensation amount be paid thereafter in next two months if the case has been decided in favour of the petitioner.

10. The writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid observation.
