JUSTICE NAVANITI PRASAD SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 02-03-2016 By this Modification Application, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the order dated 09.09.2015 passed in M.J.C. No. 3829/2012 needs modification. Attention is drawn to the first line of the order which reads as follows:

"The petitioner had come to this Court seeking his promotion and other consequential benefits." It is then submitted that in the penultimate paragraph there is mention of selection grade. Hence, there is apprehension that the petitioner may not be granted all promotional benefits unless it is so clarified in the order. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the University, in my view, the apprehension is misconceived, inasmuch as this court has used the expression 'all promotions' in the penultimate paragraph, and promotions predicate promotions with consequential relief, because, promotion on paper is no promotion.
