1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of anticipatory bail apprehending his arrest in connection with Dumra P.S. Case no. 118 of 2020 registered under section 30(a) of Bihar Prohibitiubuon and Excise Act, 2016.
3. As per the prosecution case, on two accused persons being confronted, it is stated that one of them who was later identified as the petitioner herein, managed to escape. On search 16.25 litres of liquor was recovered.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case. No incriminating article has been recovered from the petitioner's possession. He has no concern with the seized liquor nor is he
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.10535 of 2025(2) dt.22-03-2025 2/2 the registered owner of the vehicle in question from which the alleged seizure is to said to have taken place. The petitioner undertakes to cooperate in the case/trial.
5. The application for anticipatory bail is opposed by learned A.P.P. for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the allegations against the petitioner in the F.I.R., no incriminating article having been recovered from the petitioner's possession and the name of the petitioner transpiring in the statement of co-accused made before police, it is directed that the petitioner above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks, be released on anticipatory bail in connection with Dumra P.S. Case no. 118 of 2020 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.D.J-II, Sitamarhi.
