The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case under Section 323 and other sections of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3(i)(x) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
The informant made allegation that the petitioner demanded Rs. 20,000/- and when the informant did not pay the money, the petitioner is alleged to have abused and assaulted the informant.
It is submitted that the petitioner and the informant are well acquainted with each other. The petitioner asked the informant to give money but neither abused nor assaulted the informant.

No.8417 of 2015 (2) dt.03-03-2015 2/2 Considering the facts aforesaid and the nature of allegations made against the petitioner, it appears that on account of a petty dispute between two acquainted persons, the occurrence took place. The above named petitioner, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Katihar in Katihar SC/ST P.S. Case No. 8/2014, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
