In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Chhatauni P.S. Case No. 345 of 2018, registered for the offence punishable under Section 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Allegation has been made that from the motorcycle 120 litres of Nepali liquor has been recovered, but the petitioner after seeing the police party succeeded in fleeing away after leaving the motorcycle.

Looking to the quantity of the liquor recovered, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.
