The petitioner has died, as stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner. He held a licence to run a fair price shop under Bihar Targeted Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2016, which was cancelled on 23.01.2018. His appeal was also dismissed by the Appellate Authority by an order dated 15.11.2019. Assailing the aforesaid two orders the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.6617 of 2021(2) dt.28-01-2022 2/2 preferred this writ application more than a year after rejection of the appeal.

We are of the opinion that cause of action no more survives and accordingly this writ application abates, consequent upon death of the petitioner.
