Patna High Court MJC No.824 of 2021(5) dt.04-07-2025 2/3 challenging the order dated 10.09.2016 passed by the learned Deputy Collector Land Reforms, Bettiah Sadar in BLDR Case No. 47 of 2015-16, bearing CWJC No. 16730 of 2018, wherein a coordinate Bench of this Court by an order dated 28.02.2023 had directed for not taking any coercive steps against the said Ajay Kumar Ray, however, the aforesaid writ petition bearing CWJC No. 16730 of 2018 has now stood disposed off by a judgment dated 03.04.2023 passed in CWJC No. 16730 of 2018 and while setting aside the aforesaid order dated 10.09.2016 passed in BLDR Case No. 47 of 2015-16 by the D.C.L.R., Bettiah, West Champaran, the said BLDR Case No. 47 of 201516 has been remanded back to the DCLR with a direction to the petitioner and the respondents of the said case to appear before the D.C.L.R.
, Bettiah where they have been granted liberty to file further affidavits bringing on record all supporting documents and raising all contentions which have been raised in the said writ petition and thereafter, the DCLR, Bettiah has been directed to take into consideration all the materials filed by the parties and proceed to decide the case in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four months of the date of first appearance of the parties.

It has also been pointed out by the learned counsel
Patna High Court MJC No.824 of 2021(5) dt.04-07-2025 3/3 for the opposite parties that the petitioner has been arrayed as respondent no. 5 in the said writ petition i.e. the one bearing CWJC No. 16730 of 2018. Thus, it is submitted that since now the aforesaid order dated 10.09.2016 passed by the learned Deputy Collector Land Reforms, Bettiah Sadar is no longer in existence, the present contempt petition has been rendered infructuous.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court finds that nothing survives for consideration in the present contempt petition, hence the present contempt petition stands disposed off.
