The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Shakurabad P.S. Case No. 17 of 2018, registered under Sections 414 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code. The accusation is that in course of patrolling duty, the informant received information about cutting of tempo in two pieces by Mantu Kumar (Petitioner) in front of his house situated near Purani Bazar, the informant and other Police personnel reached there. On seeing the Police personnel, Mantu Kumar and unknown person fled away from there and one tempo bearing Registration No. BR-25P-7739 was found cut in two pieces. The neighbourers disclosed that Mantu Kumar has cut the said tempo in two pieces for sale.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.10027 of 2020(2) dt.29-02-2020 2/2 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody since 06.01.2020. Further submission is that petitioner is accused in Shakurabad P.S. Case No. 81 of 2015 registered under Section 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code, but he is on bail in that case.

Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jehanabad in connection with Shakurabad P.S. Case No. 17 of 2018, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall file an undertaking before the Court below to appear on each and every date.
