2. By filing the present writ application, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:

(i) For issuance of an appropriate writ(s)/direction(s) for quashing the notification contained in Memo C/145/Estab/19 dated 15.01.2019 whereby and whereunder the Registrar of Veer Kuwar Singh University, Ara constituted a three men committee for extension of affiliation of B.A. Pass

(ii) For issuance of an appropriate writ(s)/direction(s) for quashing the letter dated 15.01.2019, whereby the petitioner has been directed to deposit Rs. 25,000/- for inspection.

(iii) For issuance of a direction(s) to the concerned respondent to grant permanent affiliation to the said College for 2018-2021 Session.

(iv) For any other relief/reliefs for which the petitioner may be found to be entitled to.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the University submits that this writ application has become infructuous as the affiliation of the petitioner College has been rejected by the affiliation committee due to non fulfillment of the required criterion for affiliation. The land possessed by the College is not as per the provisions of the statute and land receipt is also not proper. The cause of rejection of affiliation has been mentioned in the recommendation of the affiliation committee dated 19.12.2020. It is evident from the recommendation chart of the affiliation committee that the land is found in four blocks and rent receipt is only for 25 decimals of land. Apart from this, the proof of payment against bill of purchased books is not

It is further submitted that as per the provisions laid down in statute no. 32(3)(f), the land should not be in more than two blocks. He further submits that the aforesaid facts are also mentioned in para 5 of counter affidavit filed on behalf of the University.

4. In view of the averments mentioned in the counter affidavit, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this writ application.

5. Permission is granted.

6. Accordingly, this writ application stands dismissed as withdrawn.
