The petitioners seek bail in Darbhanga Rail P.S. Case No. 04/2017, registered for the offences punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Excise Act (Amendment), 2016. Both the petitioners were apprehended by the police on the Laheriasarai railway station and from the possession of Chitranjan Panjiyar 26 bottles of Officers Choice Prestige Whisky and Bag Piper Delux Whisky were recovered. Similarly, 25 bottles of different brands of Indian made foreign liquor were recovered from the possession of petitioner no. 2 Snehi Sahni. It appears that about 26 litres Indian made foreign liquor

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.12519 of 2017 (2) dt.24-03-2017 was recovered from the possession of petitioner no. 1 Chitranjan Panjiyar and 24 litres was recovered from the possession of petitioner no. 2 Snehi Sahni for that the petitioners are in jail for two and half months.

Considering the facts aforesaid, the petitioners abovenamed, are directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (Rail), Samastipur in connection with Darbhanga Rail P.S. Case No. 04/2017.
