This is an application for bail in connection with NDPS Case No. 4 of 2017, arising out of Ghorasahan P.S.Case No. 9 of 2017, corresponding to G.R.No. 29 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 20B, 22, 23 and 24 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that there is alleged recovery of small quantity of ganja and petitioner has remained in custody for more than two months. Heard learned APP also.

Having heard both sides and in view of the allegation, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. However, learned trial court is directed to expedite the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.13627 of 2017 (2) dt.22-03-2017 2/2 trial and try to conclude the same within four months. If the trial is not concluded within the said period, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail before the court below itself, who will consider due punishment as well as period of detention and pass appropriate order.

Accordingly, this application is dismissed.
