JUSTICE SUDHIR SINGH ORAL ORDER 27-02-2019 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. This writ application on behalf of the petitioner above named is filed for the following Reliefs:- (I) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS commanding and directing the Respondent No. 2 for grant of Arms License to the petitioner for which the petitioner had submitted online application on 05-04-2018 bearing File No. 05182A7A31418 and he has been

(ii) For a declaration that if application of the petitioner for grant of license on account of danger to his life and property was recommended by the prescribed Authorities, there was no occasion for the Respondent no. 2 to keep the matter pending before him since long.

(iii) For issuance of any other appropriate writ/writs, order/orders, direction/directions for which the writ petitioner would be found entitled toi under the facts and circumstances of the case.

The petitioner had filed an application for arms license on 05-04-2018. During pendency of the said application, on 28-09-2018, yet another representation has also been filed by the petitioner vide Annexure-4 to the application but till date, no action has been taken on the part of the District Magistrate (respondent No. 2).

Considering the reliefs sought for in the present writ application, the District Magistrate (respondent No. 2) is directed to consider the representation dated 28-09-2018 filed by the petitioner and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.
