The petitioner seeks direction for a time bound decision of a trial pending on the basis of an FIR lodged on 14th February 2001 for the offences punishable under Section 379 of Indian Penal Code and Section 39/34 of the Indian Electricity Act, 1910.
Since the trial is pending for a considerable period, I think it appropriate to direct the trial court to conclude the trial expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is ordered accordingly.
