The petitioner seeks bail in Jhajha P.S. Case No. 48/2017, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 467, 468, 471 and 420 and other sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The District Statistical Officer issued a cheque bearing no. 771216 of Khata No. 11212450255 of Rs. 2,505/- in the name of Prem Kumar Yadav. It is alleged that Prem Kumar Yadav made interpolation in cheque and in place of 2,505/-, 90 was inserted in digit and word in the cheque. Instead of Rs. 2,505/- Rs. 9,02,505/- was credited in the account of Prem Kumar Yadav. Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.20525 of 2017 (2) dt.03-05-2017 been granted bail vide order passed in Cr. 18435/2017. Prem Kumar Yadav confessed that the petitioner also helped him in interpolation of the cheque. Save and except there is no material against the petitioner.

Considering the facts aforesaid and the fact that Prem Kumar Yadav was the beneficiary and cheque was handed over to him which was manipulated and the amount was credited in the account of Prem Kumar Yadav, the petitioner above-named, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Jamui in connection with Jhajha P.S.
