Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and counsel for the State.
The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Mahila P.S. Case No. 52 of 2019, registered for the offence punishable under Section 498A/504/506/354 of I.P.C and 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.
Prosecution case, in short, is that petitioner along with his family members tortured the informant, wife of Dhirendra Kumar Verma, when she did not fulfil the dowry demand of these accused persons.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.11422 of 2020(2) dt.25-06-2020 2/2 petitioner is devar of the victim and there is general and omnibus allegation against him. He is government employee and living separately as such he has no concern with the affairs of the informant.
Considering the facts aforesaid, the petitioner abovenamed in the event of his arrest/surrender before the court below within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sri Bimlesh Kumar J.M. 1st. Class, Munger in connection with Mahila P.S. Case No. 52 of 2019, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
