This application is for grant of bail in connection with Koch P.S.Case No.146 of 2014 for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149 and 302 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 17 of the Cr. Law Amendment Act.
It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is named in the F.I.R. and he has remained in custody for about 1 1⁄2 years and the case has been committed to the court of Sessions but there is no progress in the court of Sessions.
Heard learned A.P.P. also.
Having heard both sides and from perusal of the record, it appears that there is direct allegation against the petitioner and it also appears that he is accused in three other cases also registered
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.16057 of 2017 (2) dt.07-04-2017 2/2 under various Sections of the Criminal L.A. Act. Considering the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it as soon as possible preferably within a period of one year. With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
