1. Though the present writ petition has been filed for setting aside the order dated 16.09.2023, passed by the Collector-cum-District Magistrate, Samastipur, whereby and whereunder the arms license of the petitioner, bearing Arms License No.2334/2006 has been cancelled, however, it is submitted that the petitioner has already filed an appeal bearing Appeal No.06 of 2023, before the Ld. Court of Divisional Commissioner, Darbhanga Division, Darbhanga, hence the appellate authority be directed to dispose off the aforesaid appeal within a stipulated time frame.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid appeal is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off within a stipulated time frame.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the Appellate Authority to dispose off the aforesaid appeal filed by the petitioner, in case the same has not yet been disposed off, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
