The petitioner seeks bail in Sangrampur P.S. Case No. 13 of 2016, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 376 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 3/4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences, Act. The informant alleged that the petitioner forcibly took his grand-daughter to bamboo bush and made an attempt to commit rape with her.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for an attempt to commit rape the petitioner is in jail since 24.01.2016. The villagers brutally assaulted the petitioner. It is further submitted that the case has been compromised and a compromise petition is also filed.

No.11887 of 2017 (3) dt.10-04-2017 2/2 Considering the facts aforesaid and nature of allegations made against the petitioner and the facts that the petitioner is in jail since 24.01.2016 and the petitioner has already remained in jail for about 15 months, the petitioner above named is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the 1st Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, POCSO Act, Motihari, East Champaran in Sangrampur P.S. Case No. 13 of 2016.
