JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 16-05-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1.i) For issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction to the respondents for making a fresh investigation of the criminal cases lodged against the petitioner by the C.B.I. or C.I.D., because several frivolous cases have been filed against the petitioner regarding the landed property, which belong to his ancestor.

ii) For issuance of an appropriate writ,

Patna High Court CWJC No.4701 of 2024(2) dt.16-05-2024 2/2 order or direction to the respondents for providing security to this petitioner, because whenever the petitioner filed representation, then with connivance of the respondents some powerful persons used the F.I.R. as weapon against him and threat to kill him.

iii) For issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction to the respondents no. 4 to 7 to make fresh measurement of the ancestral land of Late Ramfal Thakur, grandfather of the petitioner and record the same on the name of the petitioner in Register II."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of the aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
