The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 406 of the Indian Penal Code and 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.
The prosecution case is that the informant fixed the marriage of his daughter Rashmi Kumari with Munna Kumar when gold and eleven thousand rupees were given at the time of engagement but the marriage was not performed due to non-fulfillment of further dowry demand.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.6641 of 2016 (2) dt.12-02-2016 2/2 petitioners that the petitioners have been roped in the present case since they are brother-in-law and sister of alleged groom Munna Kumar. The thrust of accusation is against Munna Kumar. It is further submitted that the money has been returned by the parents of Munna Kumar to the informant. Considering the aforesaid facts, let the above named petitioners be released on anticipatory bail, in the event of arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of twelve weeks from today, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, Ist class, Danapur, Patna in connection with Maner P.S. Case No. 538 of 2015, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
