Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Shambho P.S. Case No. 8 of 2016 registered under Section 307 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been implicated in this case due to political rivalry since he was Prastawak of one of the candidate in Mukhiya election. No independent witness has supported the prosecution case. Petitioner is in custody since 11.11.2016. Learned Addl. P.P. appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that petitioner is named accused and there is specific allegation of opening fire against this

Considering the nature of allegations levelled against this petitioner and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, I do not feel inclined to grant the privilege of bail to the petitioner. His prayer for bail is, therefore, rejected. However, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial of the case and conclude it expeditiously within six months. (Arvind Srivastava, J) Manish/- U T
