The petitioners apprehend their arrest in Gopalpur P.S. Case No. 60/2014, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 302 and other Sections of the Indian Penal Code. The dead body of Ranjan Chauhan was found hanging over a seasam tree. The Chaukidar Kashi Chaudhary alleged that the petitioners (father, mother and wife) were torturing the deceased Ranjan Chauhan and that is why the deceased hanged himself, thereafter family members of the deceased in order to save their skin hanged the dead body in order to screen themselves.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.14096 of 2015 (3) dt.25-06-2015 It is submitted that the petitioners have no motive for the offence. Petitioners are father, mother and widow of the deceased.
From perusal of the record it appears that besides the Chaukidar other witnesses have also stated that petitioners were always torturing the deceased, Ranjan Chauhan. Ranjan Chauhan committed suicide thereafter his family members in order to save their skin hanged the dead body.
Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner above named on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
