The petitioner is languishing in custody in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 302 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

It is alleged against the petitioner that he shot fire at the husband of the informant, as a result of which, he sustained gunshot injuries and died. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is innocent and he has falsely

It is further submitted that occurrence was committed on 18.05.2022 whereas inquest report was also prepared on the same day but the F.I.R was registered on 19.05.2022 which suggests that an afterthought story was prepared and petitioner was implicated in the present case. The petitioner is languishing in custody since 13.06.2022.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the informant and learned A.P.P appearing on behalf of the State have vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submitted that there is specific allegation against the petitioner that he shot fire at the husband of the informant, as a result of which, he sustained gunshot injuries and died. The postmortem report also corroborates the case of the prosecution. The independent witnesses also supported the case of the prosecution.

Considering the fact that there is specific

The prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner stands rejected. The Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at the earliest.
