2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that against the order of cancellation of the PDS dealership, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the District Magistrate, District Munger. Learned counsel has stated that even though the appeal has been filed way back in the year 2018, the same has not been disposed till date and seeks a direction from this Court to direct the respondent No. 2 to dispose off the appeal pending before the said authority.

3. Without going into merits or demerits of the case, having regard to the fact that the appeal has been preferred against the order of cancellation dated 08.11.2018. The

Patna High Court CWJC No.185 of 2019(2) dt.23-01-2024 2/2 respondent No. 2 is directed to dispose off the said appeal on merits as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that before passing any order, the petitioner shall be given an opportunity of hearing. Any order passed shall be communicated to the parties.

With the above direction, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
