2. The petitioners, who are in custody since 05.09.2013, have renewed their prayer for bail for the 4th time in connection with Bhawanipur P.S. Case No. 30 of 2013 having earlier been rejected by orders dated 19.03.2014, 14.11.2014, and 29.04.2016 in Criminal Miscellaneous Nos. 50025 of 2013, 40764 of 2014 and 35803 of 2015 respectively.
3. By order dated 08.03.2017, a status report was called for, which has since been received by letter dated 18/21.03.2017. It appears from the status report that charges have been framed and the trial is underway and five prosecution witnesses have already been examined. Other prosecution witnesses including the informant, I.O. and the doctor have yet to be examined along with some other witnesses.
4. Having considered the submissions on behalf of the petitioners, this Court is not inclined to grant the privilege of bail to
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.9943 of 2017 (3) dt.10-05-2017 2/2 the petitioners. It is however directed that the trial shall be concluded expeditiously and preferably within a period of eight (8) months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
5. The bail petition stands dismissed.
